The story of South Gippsland Dental Clinic starts in early 1960’s when the late Dr. Frank Turner started his dental practice in Leongatha. He then relocated to 3 Lyon St in the late 1960’s where its affiliated Rapid Response Dental Clinic is currently located.
In the early 1980’s Dr. Michael Taylor bought the practice and in 1985, Dr. Torsten Lekander joined Dr. Michael Taylor.
In 1989, the branch practice was setup in Inverloch and in 1991, 3 Lyon St was refurbished to provide better dental services to the community.
In 2009, Dr. Taehee Lee from New Zealand joined Dr. Torsten Lekander and in 2010, a large-scale renovation was carried at the current location at 32-34 Bair St. The premise was designed to provide state of the art dental services to the Gippsland Community.
Now South Gippsland Dental Clinic and its affiliated practices employ over 25 employees at 4 locations. It is equipped with state of the art equipment such as CEREC® and a 3D Cone beam CT scan and aims to at all times maintain the utmost levels of service for our clients, and strives to place itself at the forefront of dental industry.
